The legend of Bikini Bob
No, I am not Bikini Bob but I'm often asked
about the name. The real Bikini Bob is no
longer with us but his legend is documented
here.
Deep in the backwoods of Western Kentucky,
along the shores of Lake Barkley lived an old
man they called Bikini Bob. The nickname
"Bikini Bob" was affectionately bestowed
upon him by a neighbor kid. Bob earned this
moniker due to his tendency to wear Bikini
type underwear while mowing his lawn.
Since there were very few people around Bob
felt he should be comfortable. You see Bob
was also a very heavy drinker and loved to
have a good time, which of course may have
clouded his judgement. Despite his tastes in
clothing the few neighbors around liked Bob.
They knew they could always count on him
for a good joke or two. They would often stop
by and have a drink with him in the
afternoons because they knew old Bob was
always ready for a party.
Well Bob's lifestyle eventually caught up with
him and he left this world in May, 2005. But
legend has it, if your out on Lake Barkley on a
calm and quiet day you can still hear the
sound of old Bikini Bob cracking open
another beer. If your lucky, you may even hear
him cussing because he opened a can that
some prankster shook up.
So why would I name my production
company after Bikini Bob? Because like
Bikini Bob comedy shows are all about
having a good time.
